I am so damn excited! The Ultimate Framing Guide is finally ready, and I can’t wait to share it with you! I’ve had this guide outlined in my head for months, and I kept putting it on the back burner. But you know how the universe keeps putting something in front of you until you finally notice it? Well, that is what this guide is.
The universe was telling me I had to make this guide!
And I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to over the past few months - friends, collectors, designers, even Airbnb hosts - where they say they have bought art, and then never hung it :(
If you follow me on Instagram, you know last month I was polling for your biggest frustrations with framing your artwork. I got some great questions. And to be honest, I’ve heard a lot of them before:
I don’t know where to buy frames that aren’t cheap and ugly.
I buy art, but it’s never framed + never hung. It just sits in it's mailer in a little corner of my house.
I don’t know what frame colour or style matches my decor.
What if the frame I buy goes out of style in a couple Pinterest seasons?
I'm intimidated by the whole process, it's so confusing.
I can’t afford custom framing, and it’s too complicated to DIY it.
I don’t know how to hang or style my art so it looks like I actually know what I'm doing and not have a bunch of nail holes in my wall.
So listen, I get it. Framing can be intimidating and overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. This framing guide is jam packed with pro tips and tricks, easy to understand illustrations, and lots of knowledge you can come back to again and again as you grow your art collection.
These are solid tips straight from the artist, me! TBH, I didn’t even know how much knowledge I had in my head until I started writing, and it just kept coming. And these tips are pure gold for any art you’ve collected that for some reason or another you just haven’t gotten around to framing yet (no judgement, you are SO not alone!)

Inspired by my daily morning walks through Coliseum Park in the New Orleans Garden District. A long strip of sidewalk is home to a variety of palms and other foliage. This dwarf palmetto always strikes me with its geometry and sharp angles, pulling you into the center like a meditation.

I was so excited to be invited to hang my art in a new local New Orleans Airbnb last weekend. The funky 1800’s house with giant 15’ ceilings, pristine plaster walls with the original picture rail moulding was the perfect fit for my latest block prints.
A couple months ago I saw an image of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha on Instagram, and I was immediately in awe of the lush tropical garden below a dome of hundreds of tiny triangles. I immediately knew I had to make a print inspired by this majestic place, and now it’s complete!
