Palmetto Palm Leaf
ORIGINAL BLOCKPRINT
Inspired by my daily morning walks through Coliseum Park in the New Orleans Garden District. A long strip of sidewalk is home to a variety of palms and other foliage. This dwarf palmetto always strikes me with its geometry and sharp angles, pulling you into the center like a meditation.
The image was sketched and hand carved on a single block of linoleum, then hand printed in black, Cranfield ink on deckle edge mouldmade French cotton paper.
Print will be signed and numbered on front. Limited edition of 25.
Because each piece is a hand printed original piece of artwork, no two prints are alike. Yours will look similar to the one shown, but may vary slightly.
FRAMING
Print size is 12 x 12 inches, paper size 16 x 16 inches.
Frame size is 16 x 16 inches.
If buying unframed, print fits 16 x 16 inch frame full bleed with no matte, or framed with a 14 x 14 inch matte to reveal edition, title and signature at bottom.
